Regulations regarding advertising material(Revised June 15, 2007)

*Forward Flash material together in three formats: swf, fla, alternate gif files

Regulations	Size/File size Display time (seconds)/Loop	Please refer to advertisement rate and ad size table for ad sizes and other specs. To stop loop, insert “stop0”in final frame on the timeline.
	swf file	Published version should be Flash 5 or 6
	fla file	Please prepare an fla file that serves as a master swf file
	fla alternative gif file	Will be displayed on OS such as Macintosh, and other browsers. Advertising material submitted in gif only, or fla alternative gif files, will display gif animations based on GIF89a format.
	Font	All fonts included in the fla files must be converted to outline.
	Background color	When using a background color different from the displaying page, do not use the document property background color but the background color should be set by creating a flash bottom layer of the desired color.
	Setting links *display transition	Link URLs should not be entered here, but should be listed on the forwarded advertisement material. Link URLs will be one link each for Flash and alternate gif. Set up action button on top layer nad use getURL.

		Enter (clicktag.substr(0.5)= =”http:”) or (clicktag.substr(0.6)= = “https:”)(diagram 2) Enter clicktag at the URL, and check the “Expression” box. (diagram 3)
		Choose _top for the window, and choose “Don't send”for parameter.(diagram 3)
	Frame rate	12FPS is recommended considering optimal viewing by users. (maximum 18 FPS)
	Mouse action specifications	Jump to external links will be controlled by mouse clicks only. Other mouse actions may not be used to control jumps, display pop up windows, or control audio volume. Creatives expanded by mouse-over that change buttons, should be limited to prevent user confusion within the display page.
	Action script	Will not load when there is a script error
		All functions and scripts that may have an adverse effect on our asahi.com pages are disallowed. This also covers all processes that endeavor to retrieve information regarding user terminal environment, or update such information, through user actions besides clicks. If it is decided that there is a possibility of a breach, advertisement display may be halted until new material is sent in, whether this takes place before or after posting starts.
		Examples of scripts and actions that are prohibited: -retrieving external files Load Movie() Load Variable () Load Vars () -Connecting with external servers or programs FSCommand, XML Socket, etc.
		*Do not use getURL variables except in link setting
		Do not use variables and arrays that consume large amounts of memory. No commands that overburden system with excessive CPU.
	ALT	gif advertising material is limited to 20 characters. Names of advertiser, service and merchandise may be specified. Unless otherwise specified, “Click Here!” will be used. Flash, flash alternative gif are not allowed.

Text adertisements		Try to avoid using consecutive one-byte characters that are hard to decipher on screen. Model specific characters used for special OS and personal computers may not be used, either.
