“Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions,” the latest animated feature film adaptation of the “Yu-Gi-Oh!” manga and anime franchise, will start a limited-time engagement run in North America on Jan. 27

Following its showing at more than 500 cinemas in the United States and Canada, the film will open in Britain and Ireland on Feb. 1.

The movie originally was shown at 137 theaters across Japan on April 23 last year, followed by the 4DX edition that premiered at 58 theaters nationwide on Sept. 24.

Running over six months, it earned more than 1 billion yen ($8.66 million) at the box office.

“The Dark Side of Dimensions” will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on March 8 in Japan.

Priced at 18,000 yen ($156), plus tax, the limited edition Blu-ray set will be bundled with audio commentary featuring the main voice cast members.

The regular Blu-ray edition will cost 6,800 yen with the DVD edition sold at 5,800 yen.
