The giant panda cub at Tokyo’s Ueno Zoo turned three months old Sept. 12, with word that she is finally baring her teeth.

Zoo officials said two sets of canine teeth are emerging and that molars are forming at the back of her mouth.

The zoo conducts a physical checkup of the cub every 10 days.

In the 11th and latest check Sept. 10, the cub weighed 5.4 kilograms and measured 62.4 centimeters.

The next big development in the cub's life will come when she is officially named in late September. Name suggestions poured in from 320,000 members of the public.
