Seven years after the original TV series premiered in 2011, a new anime series for the wildly popular “Tiger & Bunny” has been announced.

The new series will also be a buddy story, with a variety of projects set to take place.

“Tiger & Bunny” features individuals with superpowers known as “Next” who fight crimes while bearing the logos of their sponsoring companies. The story centers around veteran hero Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, aka Wild Tiger, and rookie Barnaby Brooks Jr., who is nicknamed Bunny.

The original 25-episode series ran from April to September 2011. A feature film adaptation, “Tiger & Bunny: The Movie--The Beginning” was released in September 2012, followed by the second film, “Tiger & Bunny: The Movie--The Rising,” in February 2014.

"Tiger & Bunny” boasts enduring popularity. It was ranked first in an online popularity poll of the 100 best anime titles conducted by Japan Broadcasting Corp. (NHK) for its special program on the BS Premium channel aired in May 2017.

More information about the new project will be updated on its official website at (http://www.tigerandbunny.net/) and Twitter account (@TIGERandBUNNY).
