Sou Sou is a Kyoto-based brand established by textile designer Katsuji Wakisaka and others in 2002.

The brand incorporates Japan’s four seasons and a traditional feel of pop art designs and features Western-style fashion items, stationery goods and other products.

Its Sou Sou Hotei shop, located in an alley about a five-minute walk from Kawaramachi Station on the Hankyu Line, deals in metal-clasp “gamaguchi” coin purses, “furoshiki” wrapping cloths, bags and other items. The brand also runs other shops specializing in “tabi” toe socks and children’s apparel.
