Pita Taufatofua stunned a global audience when he carried the Tongan flag at the Opening Ceremony of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in the bitter cold of February while shirtless and his upper body covered in coconut oil.

The Tongan was in Tokyo for the first time to attend an event related to doping and revealed he wanted to take part in the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

But he would not say which sport that would be, saying it was a "secret." He only said that he would announce it in February.

Taufatofua entered the cross-country skiing event at Pyeongchang, making him the first Tongan to take part in both a summer and winter games.

At the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, he entered the taekwondo event. He surprised the audience at the Opening Ceremony there as well as he entered shirtless, but with a well-oiled upper body.

It remains to be seen if Taufatofua will wow the Tokyo audience as Tonga's flag bearer in two years time.
