An exhibition to celebrate the start of an animated TV series adaptation of “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind,” will take place at three Marui department stores in Osaka and Tokyo.

The anime series, which premiered in October, is based on the fifth arc of the long-running comic book series written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki. The story centers around gangster-wannabe Giorno Giovana and his friends who possess supernatural powers called a “Stand.”

The exhibition will feature action figures and figurines from the anime series, bringing together more than 200 figures mainly produced by Medicos Entertainment Co., including rare ones previously sold exclusively at events or bundled with other products.

Production materials usually kept from public view will also be put on display.

Special goods featuring an illustration with the main characters, which was drawn specifically for the event, will also be available in the sales section.

The exhibition will kick off at the Nanba Marui outlet in Osaka on Dec. 21 until Jan. 8, 2019. In Tokyo, it will be held at the Shinjuku Marui Annex fashion building from Feb. 28 to March 17, and at the Ikebukuro Marui store from March 21 to April 7.
