The third installment in the “Lupin the IIIrd” film trilogy will be theatrically released on May 31.

“Lupin the IIIrd: Mine Fujiko no Uso” (Fujiko Mine’s lie) focuses on the master thief’s love interest, who uses her physical attraction to fool her male targets.

The femme fatale lives only to fulfill her desires and is often willing to fight to achieve her goals. In the latest movie, she finds herself on the ropes.

The previous two films, “Jigen’s Grave Marker” and “Goemon’s Blood Spray,” featured the title character’s sidekicks.

The trilogy is spun off from the “Lupin the Third” anime franchise.

The production staff responsible for the previous films were brought together for the third installment.

The flick is directed by Takeshi Koike, who is known for “Redline” and other works. A teaser visual illustrated by the director has been released.

The film is written by Yuya Takahashi, who served as main screenwriter for the “Lupin the Third: Part 4” animated TV series.

“Lupin the IIIrd: Mine Fujiko no Uso” is produced by Telecom Animation Film Co. It will be shown at the Shinjuku Wald 9 multiplex in Tokyo and elsewhere.
