World No. 3 Naomi Osaka, winner of two Grand Slam tennis titles, will hire Belgium’s Wim Fissette as her new coach, sources close to the matter said Dec. 15.

Fissette has coached former No. 1 ranked Kim Clijsters, also from Belgium, as well as Grand Slam winners Simona Halep of Romania and Angelique Kerber of Germany, both of whom are still active.

Osaka, 22, parted ways with coach Sascha Bajin of Germany after winning the U.S. Open in September 2018 and the Australian Open in January.

Jermaine Jenkins of the United States took over the role, but she split with him in September.

Osaka’s father, Leonard Francois, has been serving as her acting coach for the remainder of this season.
