■NRA must stand its ground, not cave in to pressure to restart reactors：
The Liberal Democratic Party, which makes no bones about its eagerness to power back up the nation’s idled nuclear reactors, can expect to remain in a dominant position following its landslide victory in the July 21 Upper House election.
The disaster at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant caused by the March 11, 2011, Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami has yet to be sorted out, but nonetheless the government is incrementally trying to resume nuclear plant operations, which has many people worried.
