Briefly: 5 more hydrogen sulfide suicides

At least five people in four prefectures killed themselves from Friday to Saturday apparently by using hydrogen sulfide, police said over the weekend.

Of the five suicides, two occurred in Kanagawa Prefecture while the other three took place in Saitama, Oita and Fukuoka prefectures.

In Kanagawa Prefecture, a 17-year-old male senior high school student was found dead in the bathroom of his family's Yokohama condominium Saturday. On Friday, the body of a man, 38, was also found in the bathroom of his condominium in the same city.

In Koshigaya, Saitama Prefecture, a man was found dead in a passenger car in the parking lot of a hospital Saturday. On the same day, a woman, 31, was found dead in her toilet room in Beppu, Oita Prefecture, while a man in his 20s was found dead in his house in Koga, Fukuoka Prefecture.(IHT/Asahi: April 28,2008)
