CHENGDU, China--The 23-member medical component of the Japan Disaster Relief Team on Sunday ended its 11-day medical relief activities in quake-hit Sichuan province.
The Japanese doctors and nurses worked alongside Chinese medical staff at a hospital here, helping with artificial dialysis treatments, working in the intensive care unit and giving obstetrics care.
The team set up an office in a tent on the hospital grounds.(IHT/Asahi: June 2,2008)
