OMA, Aomori Prefecture--Divers on Wednesday pulled a body from the cockpit of a helicopter that plunged into waters 700 meters off Omazaki lighthouse in Cape Omazaki.

It was copilot Hiromitsu Kikuchi, 43.

The aircraft disappeared after leaving Aomori airport at 11:16 a.m. Sunday with two pilots and a TV crew. It planned to film a reported fire on a Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyer nearby.

Still missing are Shingo Kimura, 28, an announcer at Asahi Broadcasting Aomori Co.; Shinji Omori, 39, a cameraman; and pilot Kumio Koge, 57.(IHT/Asahi: July 10,2008)
