A retired nuclear plant worker living in Kanagawa Prefecture holds his radiation management record. Although every worker has such a record, the level of radiation exposure recorded for the man is lower than the real figure because he frequently removed his dosimeter. (Tamiyuki Kihara)
The long and the short of it is this: Nuclear power plants probably would not operate properly in Japan if workers were not willing to sacrifice their health, and possibly their lives.
