He worked for the City News Section in Osaka and the Asian General Bureau in Bangkok and served as a deputy editor at the Foreign News Section, among other stints, before being assigned to his current post in January 2012. He is 46 years old.

Three former North Korean defectors to the South, back in their home country, criticized South Korean society and their former lives there at a news conference in the People's Palace of Culture in Pyongyang, the state-run Korean Central News Agency said.
