The Asahi Shimbun offers English-based tours of its Tokyo head office. A tour guide will take you around the news rooms and printing facilities. You will learn how the Asashi Shimbun newspaper is produced.
Tours are offered Monday through Friday (except on national holidays and the year-end and New Year holidays). The tours run 105 minutes and are available twice a day. The first tour starts at 10:45 a.m. and the second at 12:45 p.m.

*Elementary school children must be accompanied by parents or guardians.
The tours of the Asahi Shimbun are available only by reservation. Please call 03-5540-7724. Reservations may be taken up to three months and no less than five business days in advance. Early reservation is recommended.
*For elementary, junior high and high schools, reservations can be taken prior to the regular booking date.
At least two but no more than 20 people are required per tour group. For elementary school, we consider one class as one tour group.
We will fax or e-mail you an application form after the call. Please fill out the form and return it within a week. We will send you a confirmation with details.
Bus parking (clearance 3.7 m) is available for school and large groups. Private car parking is not available in the Asahi Shimbun. Use of public transportation is recommended.
